We began our new unit "Modern Western Civilization" by using our Mental Map Timeline as a point of discussion and setting up our new E.Q. page: 1. Who are revolutionaries (and) 2. What was the Enlightenment. (See me or a reliable classmate for the clarifying discussion on those questions.) The scored Reading Claim & Evidence work on the article "The Reformation" was returned and discussed extensively, and then we embarked on our next (and last mandatory) Reading Claim & Evidence skill performance over an excerpt from Edwidge Danticat's Create Dangerously -- to be finished in class tomorrow.
