New seating chart! Finish the A/V C&E practice work on Crash Course U.S. History: The Civil War Part II. We discussed it, then, and edited our theses as needed and collaborated to pull some relevant EQ facts and themes into our notes to be used later in writing. The new textbooks were distributed, but the old ones will not yet be collected until after the Civil War Era writing is done. Over the next two weeks, get a start on the first chapter for the new unit -- Chapter 17...the new unit is "Turn of the Century," and the E.Q. of focus for the new unit is "What were the issues at the turn of the century and how did we attempt to address them?" (Chapters 18, 19, & 20 will have more limited reading -- not full-chapter assigned...So, do a thorough job with Chapter 17, which is due Friday, 1/25.)
