CATCHING UP:
If you missed any work for the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd weeks (3/17-4/9), the list of the work from all three is recapped on the blog post for 4/14. That will make your list-making easy, but please see the daily instructions posted for each assignment as you go to work on each.
If you missed 4/14-4/17, a recap of just that week can be found on the blog post for 4/20. For detailed instructions for how to do that work, see the daily blog posts for each.
If you missed any of the last two weeks (4/20-4/24 &/or 4/27-5/1), a recap of both of those weeks can be found on the post for 4/27, and yes, see the daily posts for the detailed instructions.
THIS WEEK: (all work is due by Friday 5/8)
* Socratic replacement option -- if you would like to replace your current Socratic Discussion score, complete the BBC Plague Article discussion in Google Classroom. (Tuesday)
*Modern Europe Unit-Closure Work Packet (Tuesday)
*Guns, Germs, & Steel Discussion (Wednesday)
*As we find ourselves entering an era of history with our studies in which much global travel has been undertaken, the European culture has shifted it's focus from a previously Mediterranean-centric view to an Atlantic-centric view. Set up a new EQ page for this last unit -- Modern Western Civilization with these two essential questions: #1. What was the enlightenment? and #2. Who are revolutionaries? (Wednesday)
*We will move backward in this unit, starting with the newest of the three case study revolutions (Haitian), as it connects nicely with our Guns, Germs, & Steel studies and will touch upon case study #2 (French) to lead us next into the study of that slightly older revolution. From there we move back in time a bit more to the oldest (first) of the three case studies -- the U.S. Revolution. Now, to begin, screen the film Toussaint L'Overture and the Haitian Revolution while taking EQ notes and use the helper pages provided. When finished, do the Haitian Revolution question assignment in Google Classroom. (Wednesday and Thursday)
*Screen the first 1/2 of the French Revolution film while taking EQ notes (or finish it and be a bit ahead of the game); be sure to access the helper docs. When finished, do the French Revolution question assignment in Google Classroom. (Friday and next Tuesday)
KEY REMINDERS:
Be aware that on May 20th we will use the final exam as an open-note review assignment; so, keep handy your UCWPs and the Mental Map Timeline. It will be for a 100-point assignment grade. THAT one thing HAS to be conducted and completed on that exact day.
