KCC -- Thursday 4/9

History Behind 7 Passover Traditions: Seder, No Bread, More | TimeToday begins Passover for over 14 million Jews worldwide.  Remember that we discussed this briefly in our World Religion unit last year...this one commemorates the Jews leaving Egypt, and the Seder plate pictured has symbolic foods -- from unleavened bread to the bitter herbs.  There are prayers, singing, and a feast that features the food items shown here alongside a full meal.  It's Maundy/Holy Thursday for Christians today, as well, which makes sense because Christians commemorate Jesus' Last Supper, which was his last meal before he died...and that last meal was when he gathered with his apostles to celebrate Passover.  Finish CCourse #35 -OR- #36 and submit in Google Classroom.  Journal entry, also, pretty please. ; )
