Read and take E.Q. notes from the excerpt about the history of the Klan from "America: A Concise History," and also add notes from the 10-minute History Channel video and the 2-minute National Geographic video. These materials address a heavy aspect of our history that began in the post-Civil-War era of Reconstruction and continue to address it's trajectory through the 1960s. Tuesday we'll come back to the Civil War era to discuss the Confederacy and wrap-up the unit with "The Presidents" DVD followed by research and writing.
