Students were given a bit of time to reconsider the Crash Course info and the South Carolina doc in light of the E.Q. We then did a practice C&E over Sojourner Truth's "Ain't I a Woman" speech -- see video and transcript. Then, read the handout "Compare the Two Speeches" and mark important info. Consider all of this for your E.Q. We began scored assessment work on a Reading C&E on the article "Call Me Mister"-- to be continued in class.
