KCC

Chapter 10 & 11 notes are due today -- time was given to collaborate on themes and I did a notes check to record in my grade book.  The next unit, The Civil War Era, will include chapters 12-16; some of which we will read only parts and some will be in entirety.  Chapter 12 is critical to read in its entirety, and that is due in 1 1/2 weeks, on Tuesday, November 20; so, we set up our new E.Q. for the new unit so students can keep pace with the reading -- the Civil War Era Essential Question is: "What was significant about the Civil War Era?"  Back to in-class work on the current unit ("Revolution..."), we discussed the thesis of the Crash Course: Constitution video they analyzed yesterday and then students begin via Chromebook an end-of-unit chronological review of big events by way of The History Channel's "The Presidents" video series -- episodes 1 & 2 for this unit.  While viewing keep pace with the new handout packet "Simplified History of the Presidents' Political Parties" while adding EQ notes and CQ questions...For homework (if absent) view through 15 minutes of episode 1.  We'll pick up at that point on Monday.
