We continued viewing "Lincoln" while adding Who? What? Why? notes specific to the process of the 14th Amendment. To make smoother student analysis of the What? and Why? while viewing a Hollywood-paced film, I gave the students the names of the most key players: Lincoln, Secretary of State Seward, Thaddeus Stevens, Preston Blair, Fernando Wood, Alexander Stephens, & James Ashley.
