In 2nd hour we viewed the 7 1/2 minute Internment video featuring an interview with George Takei (avail. on You tube). In 2nd and 6th hours we discussed the History Channel and PBS articles on the internment. In all hours we read and discussed the poem "Hey, Look! The Abyss" (excerpted and edited for classroom use -- pick up one of my handouts of it). UCWP for this unit was distributed, worked on, and assigned to be finished for homework.
