We edited, discussed, self-scored (practice) and charted the "Hayfoot, Strawfoot!" claim & reading work. Students collaborated to pull E.Q. notes and C.Q. questions from the article. We then began our analysis of select clips from the film "12 Years a Slave" -- pick up a notes page and Human Rights handout for reference. Copy onto the back side of the notes page the contextual info I provided via SMARTboard (see a reliable classmate). We viewed Scene 8 through the wagon arriving at the big house an scene 12 through the plantation owner's wife on the porch, walking away.
