Students were allowed an additional 15 minutes to complete their claim/evidence work pages on the Quindlen article. Students who, for whatever reasons, did not complete with confidence at the end of the time were invited to let the substitute teacher know so he could clip their papers separately with a note -- I'll follow up with those students tomorrow when I am back. Next, students worked in the lab in their think-pair-share groups on the "Exploring Lincoln" work guide -- to be continued in class tomorrow.
