World History

Students collaborated on their Catal-Huyuk notes to pull the top 5-10 facts about that culture onto their E.Q. page to use for the writing at the end of the unit.  We then viewed the Ancient Hebrews map to see their location, and we reviewed that the earlier Natufians were located in the Canaan area, and that the Catal-Huyuk were located in south-central Turkey, which is the large land mass on the north edge of the Mediterranean on that same map.  Read the two Ancient Hebrews articles/book excerpts while recording key points directly onto your EQ page (remember to create a subheading for this section of notes so you later remember which culture these facts pertain to).  Please take a good look at the map that shows the locations and dates of our first three Ag case studies to help get perspective on how they do or do not relate to one another.
