KCC

Students collaborated on their at-home reading-notes for the Turn of the Century Unit.  New assignment -- pp.524-551 due next Friday.  We read Jourdon Anderson's letter for our E.Q. and C.Q. pages, discussed the core issues identified for free black post civil war were the same issues about which civil rights activists (MLK, etc.) marched 100 years later.  We looked at some images on the SMARTboard with casual commentary from me about IL-Lincoln connections (debate sites, Springfield -- especially his presidential museum), and we read an article about Lincoln-Watseka connections, also. ; )
